Orange County Eating Disorder Therapist Group provides outpatient mental health therapy, nutrition counseling, and related clinical services for individuals affected by eating disorders, including but not limited to anorexia nervosa, atypical anorexia, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, ARFID, and OSFED. 3. Not an Emergency Service

IMPORTANT: Our website and services are not intended for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, including but not limited to suicidal ideation, self-harm, or an immediate threat to your safety or the safety of others, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

Our Site provides general information about eating disorder treatment and our practice. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions regarding a medical condition.

4. Eligibility

The Site is intended for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. If you are under 18, you may only use the Site with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. We provide clinical services to adolescents (typically age 12 and older) with appropriate parental or guardian consent as required by California law.

By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms or, if you are a minor, that your parent or legal guardian has consented to these Terms on your behalf.

6.1 Scheduling

Appointments may be scheduled by contacting our office at (949) 473-7907 or through our website’s scheduling features. Scheduling a consultation or appointment through the Site does not guarantee the availability of a specific provider, time, or date.

6.2 Cancellation Policy

We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) or missed appointments (“no-shows”) may be subject to a cancellation fee. The specific cancellation fee will be communicated to you during the intake process and is outlined in your client agreement.

6.3 Fees and Payment

We are an out-of-network provider. Fees for our services will be disclosed prior to the commencement of treatment. We accept payment via major credit cards, HSA/FSA, and other forms as communicated during intake. We provide superbills and clinical summaries that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Sliding-scale options may be available based on financial need.

You are responsible for payment of all fees associated with services rendered, regardless of insurance reimbursement outcomes.

We offer telehealth services to individuals located in the State of California via secure, HIPAA-compliant video platforms. By using our telehealth services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you hereby irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

13.2 Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us and attempt to resolve any dispute informally for a period of at least thirty (30) days. Most concerns can be resolved quickly and satisfactorily through direct communication.

13.3 Limitation on Claims

Any cause of action or claim you may have arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues; otherwise, such cause of action or claim is permanently barred, to the extent permitted by law.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, shall be severed from these Terms. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any separate clinical consent forms or agreements executed in connection with our services, constitute the entire agreement between you and Orange County Eating Disorder Therapist Group regarding the use of the Site. These Terms supersede all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, both written and oral, regarding the Site.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to modify or supersede the terms of any client services agreement, informed consent form, or Notice of Privacy Practices that you may execute in connection with receiving clinical services from us. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and any such clinical agreement, the clinical agreement shall control with respect to the provision of clinical services.

Clients receiving therapy services have the right to file a complaint with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences at (916) 574-7830 or www.bbs.ca.gov if they believe their therapist has acted in an unprofessional manner.
